20 - 21 - 22. 04. 2022 - Hotline Training

The second capacity building training of the Human Rights Platform Project, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Human Rights Platform Association, was held on 20, 21, and 22 April with the participation of the members from platform organizations and the Human Resources Management Association, Equal Rights for All Project members.
During the three-day training, participants gained knowledge and experience in the fields of hotline development processes, psychological first aid, and experiences from several NGOs on hotline management. The training started with the presentation of Georgia Tavlaki from the international A21 Organization working in the field of combating human trafficking. In the first half of the training, information on combating human trafficking was given, while in the second half, comprehensive information on running the hotline was provided.
On the second day of the training, Assoc. Dr. Aslı Bugay Sökmez continued with her presentation on psychological first aid. Participants got comprehensive information about psychological first aid, and they had the opportunity to experience and reinforce what they learned on the activities on the study groups and question and answer sessions. On the last day of the training, the participants shared their experiences with Sevilay Yıldırımer to explain their work in the Bar Association, Ziba Sertbay and Ömür Ray from the Queer Cyprus Association to convey their experiences on the solidarity line, and Berivan Korkut from the CISST.
