The Platform for the Prevention of Trafficking in Human Beings (PAT) was established during the EU-funded COMMIT Project as a multi-stakeholder platform involving local bodies as well as civil society organizations. PAT includes three local bodies (local body in charge of internal affairs, local body in charge of labor and social security, and ombudsman) that actively participate in regular meetings and build their capacity to combat trafficking in human beings. The Anti-Trafficking Working Group takes over from the PAT and holds regular meetings to discuss policies and cases related to trafficking in human beings. The group works on issues such as victim protection, prosecution of trafficking cases and the establishment of a coordinated body to combat trafficking.
